First of all Ron, I'll say it again...the trend is clear, like it or not. Regarding 10-10-345, you are wrong on one key point...I've been paying 5 cents a minute since early this year...just checked my latest bill again. Don't know where you're getting 7 cents. This special has been in California, Illinois and Michigan. I have also been up front that this special is currently only in 3 states. In reviewing the information I have however, you are right on one big point...it's only for in-state calls. I don't call outstate frequently, but do call 250 miles away downstate all the time. I'll reiterate also that the offer expires on 09/30/99, but I bet they extend it again.

But again, the point is competition and bundling of services will ultimately bring phone charges down considerably further. I doubt it'll stop at 5 cents, but you believe what you want. There was an good article on this posted on this board. Didn't someone else just this week offer 250 minutes LD and internet access for $24.95 a month? They'll be putting together every type of package you can think of...different plans will meet the needs of different people and ultimately save them a bundle. Who wants to mess with phone cards? Although it will be a slower process, it's obvious to me that it will extend to international calling also.

Second, I have stated clearly and honestly my positions in IDTC all along...have never been short. Helping demeanor? Is that your view of my input here. I would think it would be quite the contrary in that I constantly pushed for people to tell me why I'm wrong. Wasn't very popular here, but for reasons I never quite understood, some folks can put a funny spin on things I guess. I don't lie or hide facts and don't beat around the bush...though I did honestly misrepresent the outstate aspect of 10-10-345. Everyone is wrong about something honestly once in a while.

Third, I am now long IDTC again...for a couple days anyway.

regards,

sf
