Gold used in coinage and jewelry is alloyed with other metals to give it the necessary hardness. Even coinage gold is 90 parts gold to 10 parts silver. What kind of jewelry are they making with pure? Would think it would be pretty darn soft to wear. >>not the 14K crap sold in the US. ...After putting meet on the table they buy 24K jewlery. Regards, Shelia (owner of U.S. crap)<g>
