This story concerns me. It may be media spun perception, however, the lack of visible leadership during the network crisis is disturbing. It appears some customers are irate, not only at the outage, but also at the reportedly indifferent replies offered by MCI representatives. By not publicly accepting responsibility, the company has invited the verbal attacks of customers as well as analysts and the media. Lack of good crisis management is expanding the effects of this technical problem.
