you are right...for a coupla more weeks! but that is old. i asked if you knew of any new product announcements for sdram. we are seeing them everywhere for rambus.

What did happen with Rambus 600? It delivers a 50% bandwidth increase and can stream data instead of bursting it, on paper it looks like it should have been a viable PC technology

600 was just a smidgeon ahead of its time for pc's. now with the increased processor speed and agp4 coupled with other bandwidth requirements, we all need rambus. in the meantime rambus improved the product to pc800. why not use rambus' faster new design?

i am sure you know nintendo has used rambus for the past 4-5 years.
sony and toshiba just built a facility to mfr rambus. sony playstation is switching to rambus.
ibm says they are going to produce and use rambus.
intel says rambus is the memory technology for the foreseeable future.

sony, toshiba, ibm, and intel have massive labs and testing facilities. all four have strongly endorsed rambus. no, the tests have not been made public yet. but we can certainly read between the lines...these 4 companies are not where they are today because they select and use the inferior product. they test and test and go for the best.
did you know rambus expects to increase speed 100-200mh every year.
