PRI Receives TSMC Fab 6 Plant-Wide Automation Order
BILLERICA, Mass., Aug. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- PRI Automation, Inc. (Nasdaq: PRIA), the leader in semiconductor factory automation, today announced it has been chosen by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation (TSMC), the world's largest semiconductor foundry, to install a multi-million dollar, plant-wide automation solution for their new Fab 6 located in the Tainan Science-based Industrial Park.

The fab-wide automation project is for the installation of TurboStockers, Reticle Stockers, AeroTrak(TM), the TransNet(TM) material control system and PROMIS(R) software as the manufacturing execution system. The combination of these products provides important work-in-progress storage, flow and tracking capabilities for a foundry with a highly diverse product line. |
