PHCM breaks $101!!!

Too much exuberance in the air??? Am I exuberant? Yes, a little. :)

Buying is heavy. Looks like we have a good case for a split, which will make this a sure thing to go much higher.

Regards, Mark

PS News again. Could this add revenues if PHCM can take claim of the mail boxes of all the users who have no Internet account? Certainly, Hotmail and it's clones won't be a very efficient way to send mail on a WAP device. It's hardly effecient on a desk top computer.

USA.NET Announces Record Second Quarter 1999 Results; Company Reports Over 300% Revenue Growth, Adds More Than 220 New Business Customers and Withdraws Registration Statement

BusinessWire, Thursday, August 12, 1999 at 09:06

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 12, 1999--USA.NET, the world's largest independent email outsourcer, today reported record revenue of $3,168,000 for the 1999 second quarter, a 307 percent increase over revenue of $779,000 for the 1998 second quarter.

Comments From Management

"We experienced a tremendous second quarter," said John Street, chairman of USA.NET. "To put our rapid growth in perspective, USA.NET now manages more email boxes than AT&T, MCI WorldCom and Sprint combined. Clearly, an increasing number of businesses are recognizing the value of outsourcing their email and USA.NET is being recognized as the world's trusted email leader."

Strategic Highlights

During the second quarter, USA.NET signed contracts with 223 business outsourcing customers, including Gulf States Toyota and DSLnetworks. USA.NET also expanded its global business presence with international customers such as Zona Financiera, Latin America's largest online financial marketplace, and CathayOnline, a leading Chinese ISP. Both Zona Financiera and CathayOnline have each entered into agreements to purchase up to one million email accounts from USA.NET. In addition, USA.NET and Phone.com (NASDAQ:PHCM) are working together to offer a new Web-based email service for the users of wireless phones equipped with the Phone.com(TM) microbrowser.

"With our reliable, scalable email and advanced messaging services, we'll continue to provide businesses a vehicle for cutting costs, improving security and increasing their speed to market," Street said. "USA.NET is leading the email outsourcing revolution and our second quarter results are proof positive that companies and partners around the world support our strategy."

In May 1999, USA.NET launched four highly reliable and scalable messaging solutions for businesses. These new outsourcing services are tailored to meet the email messaging needs of all types of business customers. In June 1999, the company launched USA.NET Ad Mail, the industry's first classified advertising email service, which is poised to revolutionize the $18 billion classified advertising market. Since the launch of its Ad Mail program, USA.NET has signed agreements with ten newspapers, including two Knight-Ridder publications, The Fort-Worth Star Telegram and The Charlotte Observer, to offer Web-based email accounts to classified advertisers.

Registration Statement

USA.NET also announced today that it is withdrawing its Registration Statement on Form S-1 related to the sale of 6.0 million shares of Common Stock, due to near-term market conditions within the new issues market and in the broader market.

"Our strong second quarter results and ability to access other sources of capital have given us the momentum we need to postpone our public offering until the market settles a bit," Street said.
