Linux and NetWare both gaining market share. Users are becoming more negative on the lock of stability. Firstly Linux shipments are increasing but it still only accounts for about 3% of the desktop. Linux is a good techie desktop but for your average end user it's not as user friendly and you have to settle for 2nd rate desktop applications; it's two years away to be where Windows is now. Netware add-ons are mainly back-end and tend to run on NT as value add. I find my Win98 and NT 4.0 very stable? MSFT is also very slow in getting new releases and fixes Hmmmm not to my knowledge. Did you ever try to call their tech support? Yes I did; I was very impressed. They were very competent. From what I see of Novell they are basing their future around NDS; a directory service. They have a place in the fray but I don't see them as a dominant player. /James
