You are correct, the Cisco modem is DOCSIS certified as of 6/24/99.

This stuff changes so fast, the last time I looked at it, Cisco was still in CableLabs evaluation. For the record, the cable modems that were certified as DOCSIS compatible on 6/24/99 were: Askey, Cisco, Philips, Samsung, and Sony.

Previously (around Feb/March time frame) CableLabs certified Toshiba, Thomson, 3Com, General Instrument, and Arris Interactive modems. So there are now 10 DOCSIS certified modems available.

There are only 3 certified headend units: Arris Interactive, Motorola and Cisco at this time.
