Hi Bob,

Checked out your link, and was impressed! When I contacted Pennaco, one of my questions related to backup scenarios, and what was being done in case of power outages. I agree that the gas companies could do something to be prepared for this possibility.

How much would this cost on a company by company basis?
How practical would it be to do this, (install gas powered generators etc.)? I mean wouldn't this all depend on coordinating everything with all the partners involved in the whole process of delivering the product to the end user. (Both commercial and residential)?

If they are taking these steps, why haven't they put out the information saying so? If they aren't, isn't it to late to start thinking about it now?

I like to think the big major gas distribution companies have plans in progress. I am not so sure about the small exploration and/or producing companies like Pennaco, Ultra etc.

If you have any luck contacting the companies and getting any information from them, or other sources, let me know.
