HouseHold Direct.com Announces Coordination of Financing, E-commerce Site Launch and Expanded Marketing Plans

SOUTHBURY, Conn., Aug. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- HouseHold Direct.com householddirect.com (OTC Bulletin Board: BYIT - news) HouseHold Direct.com announced today they have begun their expanded public relations and advertising program. This campaign will accelerate after Labor Day and gain momentum throughout the fourth quarter of 1999. The public relations campaign has three goals in mind a) public awareness of the E-commerce site launch and expanded capitalization of the Company, b) to widen the existing shareholder base, c) continuing updated information to the public regarding corporate progress.

The Company has reached an agreement on a financial term sheet for the initial $400,000 which represents the advance proceeds of the $5,000,000 offering required to conclude the acquisitions process. Continuing negotiations with additional sources representing other specific financing instruments will be released shortly, as will the specifics of the auditing and SEC legal firms requirement for the Company to meet its reporting schedule.

Sierra Communications Corp. has already begun to coordinate e-mail contacts with approximately 30,000 qualified investors and will continue at the same rate or higher each week for several weeks. Direct mail to approximately 14,000 qualified investors will begin to support these efforts after day after Labor Day and will continue at approximately 2,000 per week for about seven weeks.

HouseHold Direct.com will be appearing with a display ad in Market Trend News, a Canadian Bi-monthly publication, distributed to 30,000 investors and retail brokers in the United States and Canada. The first ad will appear August 22nd. A TV commercial will be produced in October that will air nationally in the fourth quarter. This marketing program is organized around the launch of the web site and is targeted toward investors and prospective members in some of the same advertising.

The E-commerce site, comprised of six specific and coordinated shopping sections, will be offering membership sign-up at an introductory price of only $49.95. The site will coordinate two service bureaus, one for membership customer service, and a separate ''members only'' shopping, pricing and product fulfillment.

HouseHold Direct has combined the extensive benefits of membership with other large membership provider organizations to create one of the most comprehensive benefits packages available anywhere. Some of the membership benefits include additional discounts on travel and cruises, medical and eye care services, prescription drugs, national car rentals, legal services, household moving services and many more. HouseHold Direct will offer frequent flyer miles as an additional incentive to those members who take advantage of several premium offers. The Company also has access to 300,000 brand name products at direct factory prices.
