No, I didn't roast. The heat wave had just broken when I arrived. The ground was very parched, though. What town do your in-laws live in? The Asheville area is very nice. Love those mountains. The downtown area is quite counter-cultural. It reminded me of Amherst, Massachusetts. I was occasionally irritated but mostly amused. There are some great shops there. I was brousing in Captain Jack's Used Books and found a rather scarce edition about the Oklahoma outlaws written in 1929 by a former marshal of the Indian territory. A great piece to bring home to Tulsa!
