anyone else there at the irs where you appear to either work or have a great deal of interfacing, making similar basement preparations?
and don't you 'fear that your friend' will want to borrow some? or tell HIS friend who will tell HIS friend who will tell HIS friend that you have a 'stash?'
while i applaud you sharing your INFORMATIVE conversation, showing the family jewels to someone who is without a clue is not considered 'wise' by many who are preparing. especially if they want to keep more than 30 days worth, ACCORDING TO GOV'T STANDARDS of how much is 30days worth, on hand
i'm dying to get ahold of the lists where it is determined how many rolls of toilet paper is 'too much' per male? per female? per child under the age of 6? per child between 6-12? etc.
if you do NOT think our government has such lists, i would suggest you reconsider.
remember the old 'scavenger hunts' we used to employ as youngsters needing an excuse to have a party? we used to go house to house with a list, explain to whoever answered the door, that we were on a scavenger hunt, and we needed a bobby pin, a pin cushion, a razor blade, a pocket knife, a piece of string, an enamel cooking pan, etc.?
well, when the military comes knocking, with your 'friend in tow by the ear screeching 'THEY MADE ME TELL, B.K!', remember this post will you?
sad. how very very sad! |
