The issue here is not which proceedure is more elegant, has better results in peer reviewed journals or more flexible. The only issue that is of practical import for this company is whether a significant number of high volume refractive surgeons will choose the corneal ring over Lasik. I am well acquainted with several of these surgeons and they show no intent to drop Lasik in favor of the rings. Kera has only a few quarters of cash (even with the secondary) to get this thing up in the air and I doubt they will make it.
