Scott re: How many are now dumping Dell?

I decided to check on what percentage of trades were institutional, so I went to this site (mentioned by some on this thread) partners.thomsoninvest.net and typed in Dell.

It seems that every time I go to see who is trading Dell, 3/4 of the volume is institutional. I don't understand why these guys do so much churn and drive the stock price (seemingly). I used to think that the high volume of Dell trades was a result of day traders. From what I recall, the institutions don't even own a majority of Dell stock, unlike IBM.

I am beginning to think that the institutions are not good investors for Dell to court.
