Ken, I agree with you. It is not an easy business to get into by any means. There will be a price differential, of course. What about the service? On a preliminary basis, MSNBC reported on a customer satisfaction poll last week regarding telephone service. Results?

BellSouth and Southern New England Telephone (SNET) tied for first. Cable telephone came in third. Not bad, given the cable industry's notorious service reputation. At the bottom of the heap was US West. No surprise there. I'll try to locate the article and post it if I can. It is contrary to what you would expect and very eye opening.
