They might have two functional synapses functioning. If so, one would expect this sort of closed thought pattern: If you post, you must have a position If you have a position, you must post If you don't have a position, you must not post So, if you post, you must have a position It's a closed logic circuit, and once they activate it, it all they can think about for hours. Now, if you are thinking of taking a position, then....well, this is a little too abstract for a two synapse system to think about. Thinking about thinking probably would result in the type of combustion you mentioned, and, in fact might be a good test of the two synapse hypothesis.
