BANCHEE: Regarding MFNX, see my post #10671.

There are several other quality stocks well off their highs that are very oversold. GBLX and MFNX were obvious choices. Some others for thread readers to consider: CKFR, GMST, NITE.

I am also looking for an opportunity within the next week to initiate long-term positions in stocks which have shown surprisingly relative strength since July 15th. IMHO, they will also outperform when the tech stocks and internets take off again. I am hoping that strong PPI number Friday and pre-Fed meeting paranoia next week will give me a buying opportunity at a lower price. Stocks for serious consideration:
CIEN, JDSU, PCS, PMCS, QLGC, TYC, and VTSS. If the market does not help me out next week, I will buy them prior to Aug. 24th; the Fed rate announcement will be anti-climactic and I think the market will start to go higher from there. One can almost make a case for saying that a THIRD 1/4 point rate hike in October is nearly factored into the market.
