I think Astrology is silly because I DO UNDERSTAND it, not because I do not. I understand that certain cycles in astrology are SUPPOSED to corrispond to certain earthly happenings, and sometimes they do. But it gets silly when you say it is going to and then doesn't, wouldn't you agree???
I DO NOT think it is stupid, however. I do appreciate that one can generally foretell events with it. I find it a LOT ambiguous when dealing with individual's lives. It better serves the masses than individuals due to that "all recurring" "free will" that you're so fond of.
If I am biased it is because of what I DO know, not what I do not. Many astrologers have been (throughout history and still today) too eager to accept a prediction because it seems like the events fit, only to change their minds when something else happens. THIS IS SILLY! It either happened or it didn't, don't keep changing your minds on what course of events is actually occurring. BUT ASTROLOGERS DO THIS ALL THE FRIGGIN TIME!!!!

Just out of curiosity, what would your definition of silly be? Now take that definition and apply it anywhere near Astrology. It Fits. As does; Useful, fun, escapism, hobby, and a myriad of others. I simply think it is silly because it has no fit defined predictions and yet pretends to predict things correctly and accurately. ie. close only counts in horseshoes, hand-grenades, and full scale global thermal nuclear warfare... oh, and Astrology.
