Gary, stop deluding yourself, read the article again. No where does it manifest that the problems are 3Com specific and for that matter ATT has no intent on dropping COMS for Cisco. Does ATT intend to use Cisco, obviously they have said that in the past but don't ever delude yourself that ATT has dropped COMS for CSCO. ATT and Cisco for that matter have had good business rapport in the past and there is no reason for that to attenuate but ATT has never said that Cisco Systems cable equipment is any better than 3Coms.

If you call Investor Relations at ATT you will be apprised that it is not ATT's intent of replacing any of 3Coms' currently used cable devises with Cisco's. Currently they are using equipment from numerous companies and according to them each company has had a fair share of glitches in their own equipment.

According to a spokesperson in technical support for ATT, 3Com's problems are nothing unusual, especially when you consider the incompatibilities with previously acquired equipment by ATT.

Now go and spin this into some outlandish dream of yours and what you have is The Death of 3Com by Gary the Sage.

Anyone trying to short COMS at these prices knowing the fundamental underpinnings supporting 3Coms is a total DUNCE. Yes I mean DUNCE, without any IMHO bull crap.
