Sleeper,

I like your forethought. Efficiencies will prevail. The Internet will be the catalyst for them. It already has and much wealth has been created as a result. This wealth is and will continue to facilitate more efficiencies. The notion that the ability to obtain access to information is viewed as a priveledge is very shallow and unrealistic. The fact of the matter is that it's too late, it's already happening. The global economy is evolving right now and the companies that facilitate it are driving socio-economic advancement across the globe.

The real difference between the 1800's and now is that the wealth created in the 1800's was a result of controlled access to information while wealth created today is a result of open access to information.
