What Bearcub was indirectly addressing here is the fact that most bearings are no longer made here in the USA.They are manufactured offshore primarily in Brazil.They could therefore be part of the supply chain issue.As usual a good point got lost in personal discussion.

"whenever you are dealing with a critical
resource, you establish a second or third source of supply."
True but sometimes not possible due to cost reliability and other issues.
