Mike since Time began Man has tried to determine reasons for things, like Sun coming up in morning. You can't believe the reasons they could come up with. When a stock or an index moves, you see some reasons given for it that was not much better than the caveman and sun. It keeps a lot of people in New York employed. A number of things said are known falsehoods and self-serving.

Suggestion: Forget reason, watch price and volume, because the real reason a stock or index is at a certain price is that was price someone would sell it for or buy it for. Simple but true. I can rember in 70's "they" saying the price of French gold made it move. BS. like most things coming from street.

a reminder: many who wanted more than a 7% return in stocks have had their head handed to them, most got brain clouded with reasons/hopes/emotions and didn't measure price and volume.
