milesov,
My cable modem works wonderfully. I was surprised at how it was installed, however. Seems cable modems need a stronger signal than TV's. They ran a special line for the modem and installed a special tee (different part number than the TV splitters) right where the cable comes in the hose. TV stuff is all after that. They ran two separate cables all the way from where the feed enters the house to my "office", one for the modem, one for a TV. I was expecting a simple tee in the room but the installer said that wouldn't be good enough.

I've got RoadRunner/Warner so it might be all different for you, but I thought the above story might give you some ideas; maybe your problem is in your wiring and not your system? Perhaps you could temporarily disconnect everything (including splitters) and hook your cable directly to your modem as an experiment.

I take it you don't have a cable competitor to switch too. If you have DSL phone lines available in your area (whatever version) you might want to check that out, supposed to be a lot better than ISDN. ISDN can be a bear to set up and has always been costly around here.

Hey, you were getting a bunch of grief from your broker a while back, Waterhose I believe. Did you ever tell us who you switched to? I, for one, would be interested.

Good luck,
Alski
