WaveRider Communications Inc. (OTC BB: WAVC, Frankfurt WVR.FSE), a leading global provider of wireless Internet access products, today announced that Miranet, S.A.(www.miranet.net), a data networking and Internet solutions provider based in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, has signed a Last Mile Solution(r) (LMS) agreement calling for the purchase of $5 million of WaveRider NCL and LMS systems over the next 24 months.

In addition to Internet access, Miranet will use the WaveRider family of Internet Networking products for LAN-to-LAN connectivity for corporations, educational institutions, and government agencies. The Dominican Republic is the Caribbean's second largest island nation, with 8 million inhabitants.
