WaveRider And Miranet Bring Wireless Internet Access and Connectivity To
Dominican Republic With $5 Million Deal

WaveRider Family of Products-
WaveRider Communications Inc. (OTC BB: WAVC, Frankfurt WVR.FSE), a leading
global provider of wireless Internet access products, today announced that
Miranet, S.A.(www.miranet.net), a data networking and Internet solutions
provider based in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, has signed a Last
Mile Solution(r) (LMS) agreement calling for the purchase of $5 million of
WaveRider NCL and LMS systems over the next 24 months.

Miranet, S.A. ''With WaveRider, we are aggressively laying the foundation
of a wireless IP network across the Dominican Republic. Considering the
level of interest we are already seeing, we anticipate our network will
grow very rapidly.''
In addition to Internet access, Miranet will use the WaveRider family of
Internet Networking products for LAN-to-LAN connectivity for corporations,
educational institutions, and government agencies. The Dominican Republic
is the Caribbean's second largest island nation, with 8 million
inhabitants.
