Help me out here. Softbank is doing an end run around the phone companies with hard wired service by using mobile phones as the internet access point. I just got off the PCNTF thread where the talk is about expansion into India. Of course the problem with India is that it has a bad hard wired phone infrastructure. Alacazam--the mobile phone solution would really work in India if it's feasible. Anyone know if Asia Online has an India agenda? Actually, I'm pretty excited by this Softbank end run because it points the way to pushing internet adoption rates in third world countries which have lousy phone infrastructures. So it opens up a world of possibilities:)
