Tito, hope you are right. But i looked at Yahoo historical quotes for AMAT in Aug 1997. it shows AMAT peaked on
August 20th (a wednesday) then it dropped off for a few weeks. i dont remember if AMAT reported earnings on the 19th (tuesday) in 1997 or not. But this would seem to correlate with the last 2 quarters....a jump prior to earnings and a day after....then a drop.

and with option expirations coming, i think we will probably see a similar pattern.
