Hi again! OFF TOPIC I had some further thoughts on that QLT. At the same time I was missing it in the mid single digits I missed another good investment, being unused to pharma deals and naturally cynical anyway.Qlt as you probably know is basically a single concept deal with photosensitive chemicals which when injected concentrate in the small capilary blood vessel, initially in the eyes. When later activated by exposure to light, i.e. cold laser the chemical does it's thing and repairs or seals the damaged blood vessel. Later on it was found to be effective in the treatment of some cancers because of it's particular properties. The advantage is that it involves using COLD laser light sources as compared with the HOT laser being used so widely for cauterizing blood vessels, and which in my opinion, having been nuked three times does at least as much harm as good. The disadvantage is that it's still basically a single product. The other one that I also missed because it quickly went through $20 US when I was trying to buy at 16 is Millennium Pharmaceuticals. Read a good recomment in the Economist about this new concept in research. The whiz kid has been able to convince large numbers of Pharm companies to put up huge amounts UP FRONT to share in the benefits of his computer tracked fundamental research. It's now trading over $60 US and might be a good place for some of your parents' profits particularly since it is an on going multiple pipe of new discoveries. The symbol is MLNM and it has a thread on SI, which tends to be choked with egg heads and boy geniuses. Do some DD. Hope that helps a bit further, and sypathize with your parents, and you. It's a mysterious world. Just picked up my new P3 450 machine so guess where I'm going to spend the week-end.
