These numbers don't make any sense to me Howard

You say you sold your long position but you don't give a price. You say you bought the Calls but you don't indicate whether you covered all of your sale or part. Finally you quote a buy price on the Aug 20's that makes no sense.

Investment advice should be obtained from a certified professional. I only give my opinion, not investment advice.

My current assumption on NOVL is that it has to push through 25 decisively to get the options expiration bias there out of the way. I expect Novell to do well in its earnings. The volume has been low even today on the up move. So we need to see some volume now and a decisive move through the upside out of the range of the 25 expiration. Hasn't happened yet!

I think the institutions have to make a decision next week about what to do with the earnings. If they get in after a good earnings report they take a good chance on having to pay up. Do they buy on the close today?

As to those that sold or sold short like yourself and bought options --- everything is in the numbers. Your numbers make no sense to me.

What do you want to know?
