SFAM appears to be returning from the abyss so it seems like a good time to revisit there long term prospects. I have a few questions we can discuss here: Are AMAT's and Lam's current tools superior to SFAM's current product offering? Are they winning most of the new business? Are they stealing SFAM's customers? Is Lam's linear polishing tool superior to the orbital tools? Will it be the long term market share leader? What exactly is "Web" type polishing? Will it be a superior solution for some applications? When will "web" tools be available? Can SFAM sell tools above there production cost? How much price erosion have they suffered? When will the fundamentals turn for this company? Are they only suffering from a lack of orders/deliveries or do they lack the products to compete? All right, that should give us something to think about. I hope to see some informative posts from the brightest and the best on this thread. Impress me!
