Novell and America Online have announced a major new agreement to further accelerate the deployment of the AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) application within the rapidly growing business and enterprise markets.

Novell will integrate AIM with Novell Directory Services (NDS), the world's most widely used network directory. The installed base of 80 million Novell users will gain the ability to establish policies for corporate access controls and encryption of business communications, accelerating efforts to expand AIM's reach into the enterprise market and enhance business productivity for users.

There's a lot more to this big announcement. Read the new lead story, titled "Novell and America Online Team Up: AOL Instant Messenger to Integrate with NDS," to get all the details.
