Chuc, just read about your father-in-law. My best wishes to all. My wife's mom went through the same diabetic complications until she died two years ago. It can get gruesome, so I hope they stop the foot problems now.

On a lighter note, just how big is a core position? They say the relative thickness of the earth's crust is much less than that of an eggshell or an apple skin. Is this like CORE-to-the-moon-Alice?
