A believer in old-fashioned newsgroup and forum goals, I try to post actual useful
information and to critique what I believe to be unreliable. You will never find me
making excessive claims, positive or negative, about *any* company.
Indeed, I am disheartened by the manner in which libel is slung around the forums these
days -- this serves no one's interest except shorters, as the recent
Starnet/gamblingonline.com debacle has shown. Starnet, BTW, is suing for defamation
a number of parties -- and, interestingly, it is threatening to sue any people who help
disseminate defamatory or libelous information online. It's getting ugly. Not to say that
you were libeling anybody -- just that I thought your slam was ill-considered.
I happen to like Montello -- I am and have been impressed by the management, and I
think net-locate.com could be a real winner -- but who knows? At any rate, I am
optimistic. |
