Well if what I think I have read here concerning your wife is true, you will likely be at a distinct disadvantage should abortion driven Nazi logic ever be given free reign. There is no objective basis for protecting anyone, let alone those who do not meet certain arbitrary standards of "wellness," standards that always seem to be defined in accordance with the attributes of those in power (The folks at Planned Parenthood did not sterilise folk like themselves. They judged others unfit to reproduce and had them sterilised). Societies driven by abortion Nazi logic do not care for such things as "self-evidence" and sanctity of life and whatnot. Ultimately, they deal with "quality of life" and the point at which it is "worthwhile" to spend money on folk who are elderly, ill, etc., etc. Should resources grow scarce, no philosophy will protect the weakest amongst us. Only the strong will survive.

There ain't no dang protection here, my friend. You believe in this "Creater," but I sure as hell don't, and the folks who will be eating your lunch tomorrow dang sho won't believe in this guy. Shoot. If they do believe in him they will find some way to claim he supports their eating your lunch. So it will not be self-evident to them that they should not eat your lunch.
The point is, you claim all this "self-evidence," but other folks really don't be seeing it. So it is not self-evident, unless by use of the term "self-evident" you mean evident only to yourself.
To tell you the truth, I think Thomas Jefferson was really quite a nitwit. All that "self-evident" junk coming out of him was mere poetry.
