<: "Why Intel is dropping prices on its PIII line to compete with non-shipping parts and parts that ship to just one customer is fascinating. May be you have an explanation. Do you?"

Sure - Intel is dropping prices on the 450 MHz Pentium /// because they are DISCONTINUING this speed bin - ergo, they are giving them CLOSE-OUT prices.?>

Good show! You raised the comment about the lowest PIII prices being > $200. And, now you are talking about PIII-450 speed bin being discontinued. Want to bet PIII-450 will be shipping all the way through this Christmas and probably well beyond? Want to put money where that mouth is or, are you going to slide by on that one?

In any case, I am talking about more than the 450MHZ PIII, I am talking about the whole PIII line. Did you look at the 500 and 550MHz price drops? Dropping like a stone - they are now selling well below the prices set just two weeks back at introduction.

Intel's pricing is getting killed Paul. Is it that you haven't woken up from the 25year Intel stock appreciation slumber or is your brain to mouth disconnect showing up again?
