TORONTO, August 13, 1999 - World Wide Minerals Ltd. (CDN: WWSS) announced that the Toronto
Stock Exchange had determined to suspend trading in the Company=s common shares Afor failure
... to meet the continued listing requirements of the Exchange ...@ Although the shares will
continue to be listed on the Exchange, the shares will be suspended from trading for one year.
During that period, the Company may apply for reinstatement of trading, subject to approval of
the TSE, and during such period the governance rules of the TSE continue to apply. Failing
reinstatement, the shares would be delisted at the end of the one year period.

As a result of the unexpected action of the TSE, no prior arrangements had been made by the
Company for an alternative listing or quotation of its shares. However, arrangements now have
been made for trade reporting to be available on the Canadian Dealing Network (CDN) under the
ticker symbol AWWSS@. An application is being filed with CDN for full quotation. CDN is at
present a wholly-owned subsidiary of the TSE. It operates the Canadian over-the-counter
automated trading system and currently provides quotations for more than 450 companies. In the
year to July 31, 1999 reported trading volume on CDN was 2.2 billion shares, valued at $24.8
billion. Pending completion of regulatory approvals, it is expected that prior to the end of
1999 CDN will merge its operations with those of the Vancouver and Alberta Stock Exchanges.
The combined operation also will include all of the junior listed companies from the Montreal
Exchange.

World Wide is an international resource company whose businesses consist of the operation,
development, production and marketing of uranium and uranium products based out of Denver and
gold exploration and development based out of Toronto and Beijing. The Company currently has
80.3 million common shares outstanding.
