Use the Control Panel often?

Try this little trick:

Right-click on the Start Menu
Select Open
In the new window, click on File, New Folder
Open the Registry Editor
Hit F3 and search for Control Panel
When the Registry finds the key, look in the left window pane, and right-click on the folder that seems opened.
Select Copy Key-Name
Close the Registry Editor
Rename the folder you had created in the Start Menu to "Control Panel." --- Don't forget the . --- but don't press Enter yet.
Paste the Registry Key into the folder name, and edit to remove the bolded part (starting with HKEY, and ending with the \):

Control Panel.HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}

Press Enter to accept the new folder name, and you will now be able to access Control Panel icons directly from the Start Menu without actually opening up a Window.
