Re. European Expansion

It's hard to say how or if European expansion might dilute earnings. I don't know what the competitive environment is like there. If their competition is small office supply stores, and not OfficeMax and Office Depot or their European equivalents, then the profits from European expansion might be very good, particularly if the Euro strengthens against the dollar. In the US market, I question how profitable any of the three --Staples, OfficeMax, and Office Depot -- can be the way they compete head to head. In my neighborhood, there is one of each within half a mile of each other. Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dummer (though not necessarily in that order).
