mr mark, exporting favorites from IE5 to a file:

In IE5 FILE|IMPORT and EXPORT brings up a wizard.
Select to export favorites to a file. It names the
file bookmarks.html by default.

Open bookmarks.html and right click on the bookmark
you want to copy, then select COPY SHORTCUT and PASTE.

It struck me that the IE5 exported favorite file looks
exactly like a Netscape bookmark file. I just did all this
and keep the bookmark file on my desktop.
