Thanks for the detailed instructions for putting Control Panel stuff on Start menu. The workings of Class IDs in the Windows Registry now remain a little less mysterious. Don't you wish Microsoft would publish more details about this stuff?

Use the Control Panel often?

Surprisingly enough, I adjusted my date to four digits yesterday, and was thinking about how often I used to use Control Panel when I first acquired my computer and how lately, I never use it anymore. Then the next day, you post about Control Panel. I checked my modem cable in case it was a 'Psychic Hot Line' or something like that, but it looks like plain ordinary copper wire.

Anyway, thanks again for the suggestion, PW.
