Why is media still silent about this outage??

CK,

Actually, I was hearing about the WCOM/CBOT failures on the news yesterday on both CNBC and the local business radio channel.

CNBC was interviewing a trader there at the CBOT and they were discussing the outage and how frustrating it was.

Another SI member and I were discussing it and he believes that the CBOT failures kept the really big players from trading the bond auctions so that is why we saw prices go down on the bond contracts, as well as the lackluster demand for those bonds.

But something tells me that WCOM may be a prime short once it arrives at a daily oversold condition again (undersold now). The weekly chart shows some real damage to the chart. But its been inflicted and if this threatens to become an reoccuring condition, WCOM's competitors may profit at their expense.

Makes one wonder, however, why once they thought they had the system problems resolved, it suddenly went from bad to worse.

Of course, they would never discuss whether their networks were being penetrated and disrupted by hackers, no would they??

Regards,

Ron
