From memory ... accuracy not guaranteed

A few years ago a big network crash brought a ton of computers to a halt. Several vendors were involved and all sent technical people to work on the problem. Each stayed on site long enough to determine that the equipment supplied by THIER company wasn't at fault and left. The CISCO people quickly determined that CISCO equipment was working properly, but STAYED TO HELP THE CUSTOMER SOLVE THE PROBLEM, even though it was the fault of some other company's equipment.

For the cost of some field engineer's day's work, Cisco won tremendous goodwill and reputation: A good investment by Cisco.

It's stuff like this that compel me to remain a Cisco shareholder.

Cheers, PW.
