we have to wonder whether skyepharma has taken this action (notice of forcing hyal into receivership) to acquire the assets, or to motivate cangene to increase it's offer.

one of hyal's most attractive assets is its tax losses. i don't know how skyepharma captures this benefit by forcing hyal into receivership. further, as a british corporation do the tax losses really have value to them!? if hyal has technology that is of significant value to them, perhaps they could strike a deal with cangene that is less expensive for them.... and cangene could get the tax losses.

i guess we'll see what unfolds shortly!
