Analog Devices has an ADSL chipset! The Silicon Investor's home page cover story has excellent links to the ADSL forum. One of them is to Analog Devices where they describe their ADSL chipset. I have thought for some time now that ADI was a good buy strickly on fundamentals and to see this product makes it even better. I browsed the other sites in the ADSL forum but didn't see that anyone else had an ADSL product. Did I miss something? Two comments: With data transfer at 8 MBPS one-way using ADSL who will make products that will allow our computers to fully exploit this data transfer? We know it won't be all text. Who are the graphics/video companies that see the potential of the ADSL technology? Real-time video + voice + data + etc... To incorporate ADSL technology means that the phone company must also have them (see Analog Devices page). What are the implications here? Are they ready to invest in ADSL technology?
