Somebody asked me for the Red Chip Review story on PTNX. Here goes.

They were written up in the March 1997 issue of RRR. You can try to access the text at redchip.com. If not, I'll briefly summarize what was written in the newsletter.

PTNX has "a leg up in Asia" with the introduction of its "Kanji ProLine Series 5" family of printers that can be used in several Asian languages. Also, their printers have a reputation for ruggedness and durability, which is why so much business is done in emerging countries where "factory conditions are primitive". Estimated FY 98 earnings are $1.88 and with a "conservative" 12X multiple that suggests the stock may appreciate as much as 50 percent!

"It's at the top of its game as its industrial-strength, line-matrix printers blaze a new path in global markets" -- Red Chip Review.

Happy investing.
