In 69 I hitched to San Francisco. I stayed at the Berkeley Y for a few weeks for 75 cents a night. We would go to the Haight and listen to music and share some wine and smoke. One wednesday evening a batch of kool-aid was passed around and it began a long strange trip.

I remember I was dancing with a giant. He was 50 feet tall and could jump 20 feet off the ground. His hair would float down and then jump up to the sky again. I was so impressed with his dance that I just stood and stared.

Something startled me and I looked down from the dancing giant and standing in front of me was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen. Her hair was golden, her eyes shined bright with sparkle and her face was tanned a beautiful brown. We were both standing waist deep in a small pond and she was naked from the waist up. Her torso was covered with tattoos of a vine with grapes and covered her stomach, waist and shoulders.

I looked into her eyes and she told me, "Welcome back. You have been flying for two days." I asked her where I was and she said I had been with the club riding for those two days. I looked over her shoulder and behind her was a fire and behind the fire was this giant Hell's Angel named Hulk dancing and spinning. His shadow was being cast upon the waterfall cliffs behind him and I knew then the giant.

We stayed at Ojai a few more days sleeping under orange trees and then the Hulk drove me back to Berkeley.

I still see Hulk every few years when he heads for Sturgis through town. He is still wild and free. He was always a good man but you would not want to test him. They were good friends.
