RE: Other people are reminded of financial manias in the past, like the absurd prices paid for biotech stocks some years back, the pre-crash boom in the 1920s of radio stocks, the exorbitant prices that railroad shares once were at, the Dutch Tulipmania, etc.
Right now I have bird on my shoulder, I'm trying to teach to say something other then Hello. I'm not kidding, what I'm saying is true. What you said in the above is weak at best, and backward looking. Like the bird that can only say Hello, you are stuck in repeating the past, without seeing the future.
re:As I said on another thread, "The stock markets are based on the Greater Fool Theory.
WRONG, The stock market is based on perception. A fool is only those that fail to see the potential realized, or fail to see the potential in the first place.
re: Comparison to biotech.
Biotech industry, while has ushered in a sea change in the drug industry, did not represent I new way of living, working, and playing.
Lesson number one. The time to sell is when a company has realized it's potential, EBAY has no where near it's potential.
