CSCC stockholders got their wings, and future returns, severely clipped by this deal. Think about this: In order for CSCC to double from the last close it would have had to go to 56, which is 40% below its 52 week high of 91. For ASND to double, it would have to go from 40, the equivalent merger price of CSCC (40x.7=28), to 80, which is the 52 week high. CSCC going to 56 was much more likely than ASND going back to 80. This deal stinks for CSCC shareholders, unless CSCC is a lot worse off than is apparent right now. CSCC management sold out much too low. Think what Cisco would pay, especially now, for CSCC. CSCC's management probably hates CSCO so much that they would rather sell to ASND on the cheap than help their archrival CSCO in any way. Therefore, shareholders get shafted because of management's egos. Really sucks! The timing of this merger announcement with CSCC's bad earnings report was obviously an attempt to cover this up, and make it seem like a "good deal" to us dumb stockholders.
