Richard, usually there are a lot of technical posts on this thread that leave
me in the dust, but todays thread has lots of thought provoking information.

(Richard Harmon)
why iridium is having problems?
If rural / resource economy were booming so would iridium.

doug - After the economic bubbles pop and those who created the current mess
are identified and replaced with those of our choosen, then I think a more
even and fair economic policy will occur, and benefit all areas of the world,
then Iridium will be needed as rural places will be needed in the recovery.

Are They running up these stocks before the next big decline?
Will Institutional investors exit and leave "Joe six-pack" holding the bag?

doug - They will do anything immoral or criminal to hide their mistakes and
protect or lessen the lost of their positions, and if caught they will do a
Bill Clinton and deny and refuse to take any blame or responsibility, unless
it is a simple faked sad look and "sorry".

China Says No Need For Yuan Devaluation Now:

doug - A Totalitarian State understands Truth as to help the enemy, where the
enemy is all that exists outside its borders. Inside its borders the enemy
are all citizens that do not accept the state as correct forever, and inside
talk is not used, but force, to make it's point.

(Rarebird)
... not expect the present manipulations will succeed ...
... equivalent to placing your thermometer in the refrigerator on a
hot day then looking at it every now and then and saying: "Well,
its only thirty-eight degrees." It is chicanery at its worse.
(Rarebird)
Are the big hedge funds, bullion and central banks losing control of the
Gold situation? Is Goldman Sachs trying to grab whatever gold is available
because they know how bad the situation is? Is the huge number of gold call
options out there a form of insurance for when this baby goes sky high?
Do the big boys know something we don't? No way!

doug - (Rarebird) I suppose most people only see and hear what they want.
By the time everyone else knows the damage will be done. Mabye Ron Reece
knows of a way to educate the masses of the government's coverup, and if so
I know that I and all on this thread will join Ron to correct the situation
before it explodes and hurts lots of people. But currently GATA is trying,
and so far those who have done the damage are continuing to do more damage
as they try to rescue THEMSELVES and the hell to others.

(Ron Reece)
China has to be careful how they play that devaluation card.
... the Chinese govt has proven itself highly capable at fighting
a psychological war of intimidation that western nations, fearing anything
that may upset their economic applecarts, are unwilling to fight.

doug - I understand regimes like China, Russia and North Korea to do that
which continues their hold over their people, but how does one explain the
decisions of people in governments like USA, Canada and England to do that
which is best to continue their each personal job security and place in the
history books, over the oath of office they made to work for and protect all
citizens of the nation that they were elected in ? Will China someday use
total force to obtain Taiwan and crush all opposition and all rule of law ?
You can read a thousand articles and papers and listen to as many speeches,
but the answer is a simple yes, and soon. The leaders of China will soon see
a USA economic crash or severe downturn, and as in "its the economy stupid"
attitude the USA people will want only one thing, to have their savings and
paycheck continue their "good" life as soon as possible, and in no way will
they want their tax money going over seas to pay for a war that few Americans
understand what is at issue, except that one government is replaced with one
that use to be the original for these people when they lived on the land mass
across the water. Anyway, its a big joke, USA let it's young men be killed
in large numbers in Vietnam because it let another super power supply arms to
the other side, and the USA would not bomb places in the north because they
knew the other super power had advisors there helping them. So now anyone
think the USA will start WW III with China ? If so, imagine what all those
nuclear missles in Russia/USSR, pointing towards both USA and China, imagine
they might be tempted to finally accomplish they intended purpose ? Unless
ofcourse China imagines it also, and does a pre-empty. But the use of nuclear
weapons is unthinkable until a simple thought as a reminder that it already
has been used twice by a nation against another nation (USA-Japan). Also it
just more what if's, if it starts then what other nations having it might
join in and use their supply of ready to go nuclear weapons ? Does anyone
not understand that the military of Israel has no choice but to keep it's
finger ON the trigger of all weapons because of the short distance between
their land and the land its pointed at. Imagine the fact that it can make a
difference between win or lost if the alarm goes off and the jet pilot is
either in the planes seat, or next door out of suit. Would not be surprised
if soon pilots start a rotation of sitting in the plane, like done many times
before, waiting. Why, incase if China attackes Taiwan and USA does get into
this mess, then what if USA uses or looses it's nuclear missles, then what
will Israel do knowing that it's superpower friend is busy elsewhere and that
there will be a delay in sending help ? In Vietnam I was always either in
the rice patties around Qua-Tri or jungles next to Cambodia, and always had
a bullet chambered. Levels of alert - safety on to semi to full. I wonder
why the news media does not play this angle of possibility ? O I remember
the USA is doing GREAT and is strong and stable. But I bet many nations have
moved the switch from safety on to off. Soon the finger will be on triggers.
You heard it here first. Later the news media will report on this if anyone
is still around to listen.

... Y2K Information
We have made arrangements to move our operation to ...

doug - Question, in the early days of America being settled with those
people who traveled east to west in covered wagons pulled by horses,
many did not make it and died, and biggest reason was ? Indians? No,
snake bites? No, water? No, weather? No, food? yes. Simple starvation.
Let it be Y2K or the nuclear war mentioned above, after the already
store of food is eaten and animals eaten, then find some seeds and push
into the dirt and water and wait for your next meal to arrive. Hopefully
the seed you plant was not one of those Terminator ones dna'ed to not.

Goldman, Sachs & Co. has amassed $124 million of gold bullion...
Goldman has taken control of half of the gold in New York Mercantile
Exchange warehouses..."People smell a rat here,"
"Nobody else seems to believe this is at all normal."
Tiger Management, the New York-based hedge fund, is estimated to have
bought as much as 1.5 million ounces of palladium, or about one-fifth of
world supply, while billionaire investor Warren Buffett's Berkshire
Hathaway Inc. last year said it had accumulated 130 million ounces of
silver, equal to about a quarter of annual mine output.

doug - I thought Tiger was in trouble ?

(teevee)
...central banks...equivilent of 50 years...gold new mine production
...and they want to sell it

doug - Thanks teevee, your post was like shaking a wasp nest and getting
all those gold bugs agitated.
