However, are you aware that for some procedures, people actually do go from the U.S
to Canada because the skill is equal and the cost lower?

Since I live within eyeshot of Canada, since I belong to a Lions zone which includes clubs in both the US and Canada, since I sit on the board of a camp for persons with disabilities which is made up about equally of Canadian and American members, since I frequently stay in the homes of Canadian friends when I am on Lions or other business in Canada, and since I have had good friends, both Canadian and American, suffering health problems recently, I may perhaps have more first hand knowledge of the way Canadians and Americans view their health systems than most people.

I don't know any Americans who have gone to Canada for treatment. I know of quite a few Canadians who have come to the US, and more who want to but can't afford to. I don't have a single Canadian friend who thinks the Canadian health system is better than the US system. This is, or course, not a scientific sample, and I'm sure there are some Americans who go to Canada for care. But I don't know any personally, nor have any friends ever mentioned any. And I do know many who have gone the other way, and hear of others I don't know personally.
