Remember that most CEO's and CFO's never have short-term stock price or valuation in their minds during an acquisition. It is most of the time
a: Will I get a better company in terms of
- more qualified and similar vision bearing executive management
- More and better engineers
- Good product mix.
- More market share in whatever segment.

So, what difference does it make if I pay .7 times today or tomorrow if long term I can make 150 times (exageration of course) on that buy.
